Frederiques Morrell's mix of tapestry and sculpture is holds elements of work that intrigue me.
It hold both contemporary and classic imagery moulded together in classic and modern forms which is all bound together by an ancient practice. It's an overwhelming clash of old and new that can be overwhelming in a visual sense. However it does raise the discussion on how far we can mould different formats together before it starts to unravel itself. The series itself begins to feel overused after a while, it would be nice to see what else Morrell can come up with next.
