I've been looking into going independent with my work and creating a series that is based heavily into historical and cultural british research that leads to a series of illustrations that would then become an exhibition.
The best way to do this would be to get funding from the arts council. I have looked into this. However It's a very complex proposal system and I know that I can get very lost when in control of my own work without a set brief.
This is a back burner idea however this is something i may return to in 10-12 years when I am more experience and have a better sense of organisation and control over my practice.
