Position Statment

I’ve not left myself in the best position initially, however towards this last month I have put myself in a much better position for my practice and as long as I keep it up the better I will be. It’s turning my words into action now. I want to get into this mind set of doing what I say. Because I know that most of the time I am all talk and 20 percent action.

As a practitioner I’m learning to categorising my strengths and weakness. Choosing what is a priority to improve for the development and advancement of my practice. I know the importance of honing my skill, as printmaking has be come a major tool in my compartment. As a result I’ve also had to become more aware of the kind of jobs and turnover rates I need to be looking at. I’m always looking to improve and develop my skills.

The reason I refers to myself as a person whose themes work within the triple H sphere is that my work does reside within History horror and humour and sometimes more than one of them. If some pieces don’t thats ok as this ideal shapes my practice and clientele but does not limit me. It allows those who wish to hire me a quick idea of what I and my work are like.

I am a Image maker who uses Printmaking with digital to create narrative and atmospheric images. I am a narrative artist. I use a mixture of traditional and digital to create something that communicates a tale.

The next few months and years are a focus of building work up around the thematic areas I’ve described. I don’t go by type of illustration, rather theme for this reason. it allows me to go from editorial to publishing to comics to packaging while still congaing a constancy to my work. I’m hoping that building up a repertoire of more work will show this.
